One of the nice things about living in communist France (we’re kidding, it isn’t communist) is the cheaper prices of music festivals and concerts. There are strict laws about ticket scalping, and musical events in France seem to be on a whole a lot more easy going than their potentially violent or catastrophic or super expensive counterparts in the US. The month of June graces us with two very different but very fun festivals aimed towards the alt crowds.

Metalheads, rejoice. The Download festival has arrived again in Paris for the second year in a row following the spinoff from the original UK festival, and it looks like it is shaping up to be a real killer time with legendary bands and fresh new blood banging heads and showing the limits of dry shampoo. It may be thirty one years since Slayer released their debut album Raining Blood (1981, folks…1981), but they’re going harder than ever and will be headlining this year’s Download Festival along with System of a Down, Green Day, and Blink 182. Take a tour through some of the best and best known musicians in hard rock, metal, and alternative at this festival. There is also a camping section.

If super loud music isn’t exactly your thing but saving the environment while respectfully partying is, then the We Love Green festival is right up your alley. Taking place in a park (the Bois de Vincennes) and featuring hipster favorites Solange and Nicolas Jaar, this is the music festival to chill out and be an Instagram activist.

It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability
and appearance. I must say that you’ve done a awesome job with this.
Additionally, the blog loads very quick for me on Chrome.
