This month we’re starting off our Chic Girl’s Guide with the 1st arrondissment of Paris. Home to the former King, this rich and lustrous neighborhood is steeped in history and dipped in finesse. Don’t be shy, come take a whirlwind trip around the area with us, exploring the must see places for fashion lovers because being a fashionista is so much more than just shopping.
Street Style Inspo
The Tuileries is one of the best places in the 1st for getting your people watching fix. Take a stroll through the garden and observe the exciting street style that passes you by. Linger by the Louvre and feel inspired by the architecture then make your way over to Rue de Rivoli for one of Angelina’s famous cups of hot chocolate and a delectable pastry if it’s cheat day (or even if it’s not!) Once you’re suitably refreshed, peruse the boutiques around Rue Saint Honoré and Place Vendôme including Colette and the Chanel Jewelry store and treat yourself to a piece of fine Parisian craftsmanship.
Time For A Break?
If you’re ready to unwind, your options for a relaxing yet sophisticated drink are limitless. Two of our favorites include Hotel Le Meurice (Beyoncé’s hotel of choice) and The Ritz (well we all know The Ritz!) Over at Le Meurice you’ll find a lavishly decorated lobby bar and a plush velvet seated area complete with piano and extensive cocktail menu. While prices may be high, they’re worth every penny and if you really feel like splurging, you’re bound to be tempted by the in house cuisine at Alain Ducasse’s two star Michelin restaurant.
Who Is The 1st Arrondissement Girl?
Elegant and refined, the 1st arrondissment girl knows her designer labels but isn’t afraid to keep them subtle. She enjoys mixing high end luxury with up and coming boutique labels and always looks utterly put together. She wouldn’t be caught dead in flats and has had a penchant for perfect tailoring since maternelle.
