If there is one thing Parisians love, it is New York. On any given day or night out in the city, you will see a wide array of hairstyles (or lack of, balding men are especially into this) covered by a New York Knicks cap. While some French people may look down upon America or think we all eat cheese out of a can (newsflash: it’s convenient), their disdain and distaste for ‘Murika ends once New York begins. As such, it should be no surprise that the next blockbuster exhibition at the Fondation Louis Vuitton (since they don’t do lackluster exhibitions here, just blockbusters) has to do with Newwwwww Yooooooooork.

That is, running from October 11th through March 5th is the exhibition “Être moderne: Le MoMA à Paris” – meaning, they took all of the good stuff from the MOMA in NY and bought it here for your viewing pleasure. From documenting all aspects of modern and contemporary art and poster friendly Pop art, there will be over 200 works for you to stare and gawk at, no Campbell’s soup cans guaranteed (but likely). On verra.
October 11, 2017–March 05, 2018. Get your tickets in advance and be prepared to be overwhelmed and ready to fall all over in love again with a city full of rude rushing people, public transportation that frequently breaks down, and gray rainy weather. Whether that city is Paris or New York, c’est à vous de jouer !
