It’s hard to find a second city as unique as Paris. The longer you live here, the more you get absorbed by the City of Lights. Paris shapes us in various ways, and we manifest our parisianness differently. Nevertheless, we spotted some distinctive lifestyles of being a Parisian that we see in the streets and among our friends. Check out which one of them fits you the most.

Vagabond Parisian

Personal motto? Be out and about. Every day, you bike or roam across the city to see what it has to offer. You are a bohemian kind of Parisian with a laidback personality and curiosity about more niche things and places. Reading or drawing by the Seine feels like a better idea than overcrowded museums. By day, you can be spotted with a cup of espresso, watching people while sitting at a café. Jazz clubs and hidden cocktail bars are your natural habitat by night. You have a very artistic soul, but words and sounds rather win with visual arts.

Your place to be

Paris is your oyster, but Quartier Latin is where you feel at home. It borders the Seine and is full of various bookstores, including the famous Shakespeare & Co. When the day is over, you can always meet with someone at one of many bars in the area. Quartier Latin is also a great communication point from which you can quickly reach your other favorite places like Marais, Bastille, or Montparnasse. It’s the perfect spot for a wanderer, without a doubt.

Your style

You have your sense of style, but you don’t care about the latest trends. You definitely opt for comfortable clothes. Basic tops and loose shirts paired up with classic jeans or baggy skirts. When your hair isn’t tied in a simple ponytail or messy bun, you leave it unleashed. Instead of colorful and fancy clothes, you prefer to mark your style with tons of jewelry and rock that boho-chic.

Artsy Parisian

Art is life, and so is Paris that is full of it. Your wallet is filled with membership cards from your favorite museums. If someone asked you what’s your favorite place to spend your free time, the answer would probably be the Louvre. Possible alternatives? Discovering Parisian galleries or going to the movies. You love being around pieces of art, and a weekend without going to any museum feels like a waste.

Your place to be

Artistic Montmartre is a place where you hope to grow your roots for good (or maybe you already have?). With its winding and charming streets and genuine ambiance that made you fall in love with Paris.

Your style

Simple but elegant clothes. Usually dark tints but sometimes more pastel colors or beiges. With a beret or a scarf to add a bit of flair. And of course, a tote bag from the latest art exhibition is a must!

Chic Parisian

Paris is the fashion capital of the world, and you always dreamed of living here. You are always up to date with what is happening in the fashion industry. No trend would escape your attention. Perhaps you intend to pursue a related career and become an influencer, stylist, or fashion designer. Paris Fashion Week is the most sacred event of the year. When you are not busy shopping at Le Bon Marché, you can be found sipping cocktails at the Ritz.

Your place to be

You revolve a lot around Place Vendôme, but it’s the 16th that stole your heart. A quiet, spacious, and classy hub of the Parisian elite. Close to the famous Champs-Élysées and Trocadéro, where you often dine with your friends. Not to mention the Eiffel Tower in the vicinity.

Your style

It’s hard to define because it changes according to what’s currently en vogue. Magazines and the internet are your sources of inspiration, but fashion is also a way to have fun and show yourself to the world. You play with it by changing your outfits and trying new hairstyles. Whatever the outcome, you are always dressed to left people impressed.

Colorful Parisian

If there is anyone to be called a rare bird, it’s you! Fitting in is boring, and you crave to stand out in a crowd. Paris has attracted you as a city where you can show your true colors without being judged or perceived as an oddball. You are always up to do anything unusual or fun. There is no market where you can buy plants, home-made or local specialties that you don’t know. But more importantly, there is no Parisian life without vintage crawls and drag shows.

Your place to be

You can’t imagine living without Marais. The melting pot of different cultures, intriguing restaurants with various vintage stores, and your favorite queer bars and nightclubs. There is no other place in whole Paris that would respond better to your needs.

Your style

Literally, anything that can catch an eye. Preferably found in some odd vintage store. Neon glasses? Uniform-like, shiny jacket? Face stickers and powdered glitter? There are no limits!
