After four years of renovations, the Louis Vuitton flagship store at Place Vendome has finally been re-opened. As part of Fashion Week, the store opened its doors with a welcoming party, including a surprise performance by Will Smith. Of course Jaden Smith was there supporting his dad and as was Julianne Moore wearing a stunning LV dress from their resort 2018 collection. Other famous faces who made an appearance at the re-opening included Busy Phillips, Marion Cotillard and Cate Blanchett among others. Image via: Vogue.Me

Place Vendome has long been established as the corner of luxury in Paris, so bringing back LV to the scene only seems right. The décor appears to be channeling that of Versailles Palace, the front adorned with an enormous golden gong with rays shooting out from all around. A spectacular piece of craft that draws the eye immediately.

The whole store is spread across two floors of historic townhouses designed by Peter Marino in typical Parisian style. The first floor will be dedicated to Louis Vuitton leather goods and ready-to-wear pieces while the second floor will house the very latest LV travel accessories and home wear.

The curators restoring these former townhouses to their original glory, also commissioned 33 pieces of art by renowned artists including Yan Pei Ming and Stephen Sprouse, to be spread over the floors, giving this store the edge over any other in Paris.
